Ranjith Morugama
Cinnamon Grand Hotel

Ranjith Morugama, a renowned name in the Sri Lankan food industry is the executive chef at Cinnamon Grand Colombo, after completing his education at Ceylon hotel school in management and professional cookery, and food production management in India, he started his hotel career as a 3rd commie. He has successfully handled food promotions in countries such as Australia, Taipei, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, India, Hungary, Austria and Malaysia. His professional achievements include Gold medals in Sri Lankan cookery, Silver medal for seafood cookery, and Bronze medal for gastronomic cookery.
Chef Moru as commonly known, has 27 years experience in cookery and currently manages 200 staff members, 21 senior executives (in sous chef level) Operates 10 restaurants in different cooking styles at Cinnamon Grand. He’s an ardent animal lover and enjoys listening to music when at leisure.
